My offering is mostly focused on requirements gathering, creating a functional specification, RfP management (optional) planning and providing guidance around the platform itself.

Magento 2 is a complete re-build from Magento 1.x and there are generally lots of unknowns going into a re-build or replatforming project, which is where myself and potentially a technical architect come in to help you prepare. We would help you understand more about the platform, run through business requirements, create a functional specification and provide guidance around native features and requirements for custom development.

More Information on the process
We (or just me, depending on requirements) tend to provide the discovery phase of Magento 2 build projects and then hand over to a development partner once the specification has been agreed and the contract has been signed. We’ve been involved at various different stages though and our involvement would generally vary from project to project.
