I’ve been working on various Magento build projects recently that have required commerce-focused Instagram functionality in some form – be it curated Instagram on the product detail pages or the ability to purchase items from an Instagram feed on the site. Due to clients already using their service, I’ve generally been working towards using Yotpo for this, which is a fantastic solution at the higher end (generally will be part of plans from $1k per month). I’ve also worked with clients that have used Chute and Olapic, both of which are again very expensive.
I recently started working with a new client, who are using FourSixty for Shoppable Instagram on their homepage and some of their other content pages throughout the site, as can be seen on the new Urbanista store.
They’re only using it to allow users to purchase the items featured in the posts currently, however they’re going to be rolling it the curated posts feature on their product detail page soon. An example of how it looks on the product detail page can be seen below.
I was playing around with the back-end and it’s really easy to use – the integration is basic currently (they don’t appear to have a Magento 1 or 2 extension), but you can just create your own blocks and paste the code into your templates.
Creating the actual posts is really easy too, as you can see below – it’s just a case of tagging the items featured in the posts with a link. The curated posts at product detail page is the best selling point for this solution, as it’s a fraction of the cost of most of the other alternatives on the market (starting from $100 per month, including various other features).
With the management side of this, it’s just a case of adding the code to the template and then choosing the posts that you want to appear on the different product pages – the only way this could be improved would be to pull the posts into Magento and allow the user to manage them alongside the catalog.
I’ve written about how this solution can be used with Magento, but it can be used with any platform or technology due to how it’s embedded. They have various case studies from other eCommerce platforms, including Shopify, BigCommerce, Demandware and a number of others.
I was very impressed with the affordability and the feature-set of FourSixty – it’s more basic than something like Olapic or Yotpo, but it’s very good value!

Hey Paul,
Pixlee’s Shoppable Instagram is priced right in the mid-range of the solutions you mentioned (https://www.pixlee.com/use-cases/shoppable-instagram)
For Shopify users, it starts at $40 a month. (https://apps.shopify.com/shoppable-instagram-and-website-galleries-by-pixlee)
